iCON International Container Service GmbH has once again presented itself at the transport logistic exhibition in Munich this year.
After our 2015 debut, it was now the second time that we had an iCON booth at the transport logistic in Europe. With more than 2,100 exhibitors from around 60 countries, the transport logistic is one of the world’s largest logistics exhibitions. This year, the event registered a record number of more than 60 thousand visitors from 123 countries, which is in an increase of 9.5% compared to 2015.
Among the key issues of the exhibition were digitalisation and networking, with a clear focus on smart-logistic solutions for the upcoming developments within industry 4.0.
“The exhibition was a great success again, with a lot of opportunities to talk to new contacts. Of course, it was equally important and valuable to see many familiar faces and strengthen existing partnerships,” the entire iCON team agrees.
The iCON booth outside transport logistic was once again an eye catcher. In addition to a 20′ High Cube Side Door container, there were two 8′ DV containers on top of each other and with iCON signs on them that were visible even from far away. As part of an exhibition co-operation, we also had a 10′ container with us, which we used to showcase ConFoot container-legs.
ConFoot is a Finnish company specialized in producing container-legs of their own devising, for which iCON is the distributing partner in northern Germany.
To convert the 20′ High Cube Side Door container into an exhibition booth, we partnered up with Wilhemsburger Container Service GmbH (WCS) from Hamburg, who took care of all things lighting and power supply. The side opening was equipped with mobile glass elements, which provided enough protection from wind and weather while still allowing in natural light. The decorated interior with a standing table and a seating area provided enough room for conversations in a quiet environment.
The great advantage of the container concept was the fast and smooth setup (and deconstruction) of the booth. Thanks to everyone working together, the booth was already completely packed up and ready to go back to Hamburg at 6 pm on the final day of the exhibition. Just like last time, the transport to and away from the exhibition was carried out reliably and timely by the professionals from the Kloiber company (Munich).
We at iCON would like to once again thank everyone who visited our booth and would be happy to welcome you again in 2019.
